CPR/First Aid Classes

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have changed the structure of the course. In order to limit face-to-face contact, we have moved half of the course online. Students will complete an online Canvas module and quiz prior to meeting on-campus for in-person skills testing. Access to the module will be provided one week prior to the selected skills testing date.

CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation – is a lifesaving technique that is crucial to a variety of emergencies, ranging from heart attacks to drownings. But is learning and performing this skill limited to just EMT’s and paramedics? Absolutely not. The national average for EMS response time is about 9 minutes, during which you may be the only helper nearby. These “Golden Minutes” can be the matter between life and death.

Being able to provide a pulseless patient compressions and ventilations during these Golden Minutes is absolutely vital. It’s far better to do something than to do nothing, as the difference between action and inaction could be someone’s life. To learn more about how you or anyone else can learn this essential skill, see below.
